Lil Uzi Vert was on back-to-back tracks “Lookin” and “wokeuplikethis*”. Leven Kali on the track “Flex” wasn’t anything special, but it was nice to hear someone different after five tracks of Playboi Carti (which isn’t a bad thing by the way). It was just a little bit refreshing to hear some actual bars on a song. Even though the vibe of this project is fun loving, A$AP Rocky is bringing easily the best bars on this tape.

A$AP Rocky was definitely the best feature on this tape on the track “New Choppa”. Only three people were featured on this tape it fit really well. There isn’t an overload of features on this mixtape like I thought there would be. He flows really well with just about all of the tracks on this tape. It is what I expect from a guy who is named “Playboi Carti”. There is nothing serious, nor conscious about this project. The production, along with Carti’s constant ad-libs and bars about drugs, women and money, make this tape a good time. The production of this mixtape was really cool it was filled with lots of random, funny noises throughout the tape. It wasn’t as excruciating as I expected this project to be. Which of course makes sense since Carti himself is 20 years old. It is a lot of upbeat, fun beats with simple raps for kids in college or high school to party to. This album is a nice summer album to jam out too. Plus guys like A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty really mess with this guys music and sound. However, I want to give everyone a fair shot and hell, maybe I will like a few songs that I can bump in the car.

I didn’t care to hear another trap rapper from Atlanta. At first, I really had no interest to listen to this project. I really know nothing about this guy other than the fact that he is under the label “mumble rapper”. This is his first mixtape under the name Playboi Carti it is also his first commercial project. This is his second mixtape, but his first one was under the name “$ir Cartier”. Playboi Carti, the rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, dropped his first mixtape.
